The short answer
- Laser hair removal is usually priced per area, per session. Larger areas cost more than smaller ones.
- The total cost depends on how many areas you treat and how many sessions you need, which varies from person to person.
- Many clinics offer courses or full body options that bundle areas or sessions together.
- Our current prices are listed on this page and in our online booking system, and we are happy to go through them by phone.
How laser hair removal is priced
Laser hair removal is most commonly priced per treatment area, per session. Each area, such as underarms, bikini, lower legs or back, has its own price, and you pay that price each time the area is treated.
Because a course of sessions is usually needed, it helps to think about the cost of the whole course rather than a single visit. Hair grows in cycles, and the laser only affects hairs that are actively growing at the time, so it takes several sessions spaced weeks apart to reach the follicles in each cycle.
Per area, courses and full body options
There are a few common ways clinics structure laser pricing. The right one for you depends on how many areas you want treated and how committed you are to a full course.
- Single area, single session: pay as you go, one area at a time. Flexible, and useful for trying laser first.
- Combined areas: two or more areas treated in the same visit, such as underarms and bikini, often priced together.
- Courses or packages: a set number of sessions for an area, usually paid up front or in stages.
- Full body: most or all common areas treated in one longer appointment. See full body laser hair removal.
What affects the cost
The size of the area and the number of sessions have the biggest effect on what you spend. A small area like the upper lip takes a few minutes, while full legs or a full back take much longer, and pricing reflects that treatment time.
The number of sessions varies with your hair colour and thickness, your skin, the area and hormonal factors. As a general industry range, many people need somewhere around 6 to 10 sessions, though some need more or fewer, and occasional maintenance sessions may be needed later. Our article on how many sessions you need explains why.

- How many areas you treat
- How many sessions you need for a good result
- Whether you choose single sessions, a course or full body
- Any maintenance sessions later on
Why a consultation and patch test matter
A consultation is the most reliable way to understand what your treatment will cost. Your specialist looks at your skin and hair, talks through your goals and health history, and gives you an idea of how many sessions you are likely to need.
A patch test is usually part of that first visit. It shows how your skin responds to the chosen settings before a full treatment, which matters for safety and helps set realistic expectations. Pricing that looks cheaper but skips this step is not always better value.

Check availabilityQuestions
Is laser hair removal priced per session?
Usually, yes. Most clinics price each treatment area per session, and some also offer courses or full body options. Our current prices are on our online booking page.
Is a course better value than single sessions?
It can be, if you plan to complete a full course on the same area. Single sessions give more flexibility. Your specialist can help you work out which suits you after your consultation.
Why can’t you tell me the total cost upfront?
Because the number of sessions varies from person to person. After assessing your skin and hair, your specialist can give you a realistic idea of how many sessions to expect for each area.
